Where Obliged by Law under the Family Violence Protection Amendment(Information Sharing) Act 2017
The Act has been amended to include an information sharing scheme. Information about you, your child (a family violence victim survivor), and/or a perpetrator can be shared with another service or organisation for the purpose of establishing, assessing and managing risk related to Family Violence. Consent is required from an adult victim survivor to share their information with another service, but is NOT required from:
Security of Personal Information
Your Personal Information is stored in a manner that reasonably protects it from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.
When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored securely in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.

You may access the Personal Information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions (under Australian law) where to do so would unreasonably affect someone else's privacy or pose a serious threat to someone's life, health or safety).
